New Toy!

I didn't realize how bored Darby was with his toys until I came home with a new one, and he went ballistic!

Darby and Riley have finally figured out how to play tug-o-war, but my camera does a poor job of catching the action (and the noisy growls!)

Doggy Heaven Update

I need to go on a treasure hunt to find 3 of the bones! Anya, our Aussie, likes to steal the bones and hide/bury them for the future. We have a house showing tomorrow and I don't want potential buyers stumbling upon dinosaur bones!

Sometimes when you purchase something online, you don't always get what you think you are getting. I ordered online, from a local meat market, some raw bones for the dogs to chew on. This is not what I was expecting!

Rain

We've had a lot of rain lately and Darby is having a hard time with resigning himself to stay inside. The other 3 dogs have not left the house since breakfast, but you can see that Darby looks pretty bedraggled from his trips outside.

Monday Night Football

I came home from Bible Study last night to find everyone watching Monday Night Football. The cats were not so pleased that the dogs were invited to the festivities!

"The Old Man" was not interested in the game. He was too busy trying to make his 100 lb body invisible so he wouldn't have to go outside.

Anya has a hard time relaxing in the house.

Kita could see all of the action from her perch on the rocking chair, but far enough away to give the impression of disinterest.

Happy Birthday to Curt!

A quiet birthday for Curt - however his co-workers made sure he celebrated by decorating his computer!

His parents took him out for lunch and he enjoyed the birthday phone calls and cards. We grilled steak and had apple pie instead of birthday cake. But it has been such a busy week for him, a quiet lazy evening was just what was needed.

Canine Cabin Fever

We've gotten over 2" of rain in the past 2 days and the dogs are having a hard time with cabin fever.

They have a circuit between 2 rooms that they chase and wrestle with each other. They run into the rug and squish it up. The toys have all been taken out of their basket and a number of them have now been gutted.

The cat is mildly annoyed by all of the action!
